Australind to Perth

Hello all
From Australind, I headed to Pinjarra where there was a lovely Caravan Park, which was more like a farmstay. And it was only $12.00/ night unpowered.
The wild weather forecast was pretty average with damaging winds and lots of rain down as far as Mandurah. With that in mind I sat for a couple of nights just South, but not much eventuated.
I headed to Kwinana to catch up with friends for a few days before venturing into Perth to visit other friends, where I am now.
My mate has a plane so on Sunday we went for a fly. All our plans kept getting thwarted though.  Our initial plan was to fly over to Rottnest Island for lunch, 25knot crosswinds at the airstrip on Rottnest.......so plan B was to fly down to Bunbury for lunch. There was an Aero Club fly in that day so there was to be skydivers and all sorts of things. But we get out to Jandakot Airport and checking the plane found it only had 1.1 hours flying time left until a service was due.
Plan C instead was we flew down along the coast to just below Mandurah and return.

Cockburn Industrial area
With a howling headwind she was a pretty bumpy ride but enjoyable all the same, I can't Believe how much Perth has grown in the 5 years since I was last here.

Bibra Lake

While I love taking photos from the air, it has its drawbacks, with the perspex windows, reflections and on Sunday, average visibility and the bumps.

I lived in Perth from 1990 until 2000 and had forgotten how beautiful a city it is, I would like to spend a few weeks here but with Easter and School Holidays chasing me I am keen to get North a bit ahead of the pack.
Out of curiosity I googled a caravan Park in Coral Bay the other night and in big red writing..............please note we are fully booked for all school holidays for 2015 and 2016.
With the grey nomad migration for Winter starting soon also I really want a head start, even if that means the possibilty of still getting a few hot days.
With all this in mind, in the next couple of days I will start my trek North, funnily enough after living in my camper for for about the last 14 or so months and now a week out of it staying with friends...........I am missing camper life and am quite keen to get back into it and hit the road.
Bye for now
